Q. Hi Minoli, Looks like Rocklahoma was a huge success for the band this year did you manage to sell lots of CD’s at this event?
A. Rocklahoma was a great experience, especially Because it was Minoli’s first time performing live in Usa. We really loved all the crowd and they’re all very friendly with us. We had a huge appreciations from everybody and also in the days after our performance we met fans that stopped us asking about our cd and our web site. Unfortunately the cd is not ready yet, and we had to postpone the release, but it will be released soon from Chavis Records.
Q. Other than Rocklahoma did Minoli have the chance to tour other places in the USA?
A. Not yet, we’re organizing a tour here in Europe, with a promoter interested in our project, and we’re looking forward to record a new video in Usa thanks to some big sponsors.
Q. Congratulations’ on your recent Album release Living in Memphis, the cover songs, Dance the Night Away, No Way to Take Place and Take it Easy sound excellent . Who helped record, mix and master your latest Album Living in Memphis?
A. Our album is still on the way to be released. In the album we just have one cover song that is called “Dance the night away”. All the other songs are own songs, written and performed from Angelo Minoli(…I used a couple musicians in studio, the drummer Andrea Costanzo and Pippo Guarnera on the Hammond b3…) I have also been helped from the vocal coach Laverne Jackson from Chicago, a great Blues singer. This project was born just as a master, but after sending a couple of copies to different labels , Bill Chavis contacted me and asked me if I was ready to release a CD. I have a good friend with a professional studio that helped me in recording, mixing and mastering the album, that has had the patience to work with me for a long time, ‘cause I wanted the perfect sound and I think that mixing is the biggest part of the work if you want the perfect sound.
Q. Who are you main influences for Minoli?
A. I have many influences, ‘cause I love rock, jazz, blues and all the most important music genres. In my album I tried to put together what I like most of all this genres and if I have to find out who influenced me more, I can tell you that I’m influenced from Van Halen, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Elvis Presley, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Buddy Guy, BB King, and many more….
Q. Which popular TV Shows has Minoli made a guest appearance on?
A. Right now, none.

Q. Who writes your songs and what do you express in your lyrics?
A. My help in writing these songs is Christina Gugliotta. She’s a great help, and when we work on the songs together we try to touch our audiences’ heart. We also try to accord the music to the lyrics and to be more intense when the music requests it, but over all to give a sense to what we write, leaving also a part of us in the songs that helps our fan to be more confident with our music.
Q. I understand you have a video coming available soon called You'll Get It?
A. Yes, the video is called ‘…and you’ll get it!!!’ and because the lyric talks about a man and his greatest love… the video will show this history and you’ll have to choose…was its motorbike or his woman?
Q. With your current line up Angelo Minoli (voice and guitars), Michele Maffei (Guitars), Giacomo Della Cella (bass), Emanuele Rivara (drum) and Nicola Rossi (keyboards), how long have the members been playing together did your current lineup play with other bands before?
A. We are playing together since one year, ‘cause it was created after cd’s recording… but we’re all musicians come from other bands that are performing from many years. (I was and I’m still playing with the Official Italian Tribute Band to Van Halen and David Lee Roth, called Rattle Rattle). But Minoli is brand new and I want to underline that I’ve two great and very young musicians, that are growing very fast!!! Emanuele Rivara (17 years old) and Nicola Rossi (19 years old). They’re fantastic!!!
Q. Curious what is the music scene like in Italy and the most popular style of genre?
A. Ah, this is a hard question. Unfortunately rock music isn’t popular anymore, especially between the new generations. Actually the scene is all for pop and dance music, but with the old rock bands coming together again, we’re discovering again the beauty of the real rock…
Q. Before we wrap up our interview do you have any last words?
A.I want to thank all the people that have made happening all this and that believed in my music since I was a teen…especially all my family...That let me follow my dreams!!
