www.myspace.com/rockforeversilent

HMTV DJ Tina: Hi Forever Silent How are things?

Hi Tina, things are going pretty well right now

HMTV DJ Tina: Can you tell us about your new Demo release you are currently working on?

Forever Silent: Well we recorded three songs earlier this year and we are going back on the studio on August to record two more and well try to have the complete demo out in late August.

HMTV DJ Tina: Are they any musical influences in Forever Silent?

Forever Silent: Yes we have a lot of influences. We think that All that Remains is our main influence but also bands like As I Lay Dying, In Flames, Killswitch Engage and many more have a lot of influence in us.

HMTV DJ Tina: Can you tell us a little bio about Forever Silent’s and the current line up of the band members and their roles?

Forever Silent: Forever Silent is a band from Juarez, Mexico created by Juan Carlos, David and Daniel some years ago. Conformed originally by other musicians, but it was until June 2007 that the band started to create its own style with the incorporation of "block" (drummer). Some days later after some difficulties, it was decided to give a total spin to the project in order to achieve some recognition outside the local scene. After the departure of the vocalist, Frankie (vocals) and Chong (Keybords) joined the band. This marked a new beginning in the project. The band started quickly to play in local events and recorded their fisrt two songs. But days before their first presentation outside the city David decided to leave the band for major causes. Now with its current line-up a new kind of sounds influenced by each member is created; a metal sound with an experimental touch. A lot of new material is comming this is just the beggining.

Frankie (vocals)

Juan (guitar)

Dan (guitar)

Block (drums)

Chong (bass)

HMTV DJ Tina: Does the band mix, record and master all their songs?

Forever Silent: Well we record at a local studio so the owner (Che) is in charge of everything but we are there when he mixes our music. We try to get involved in all the process but there are things that he knows a lot better that us hehe.

HMTV DJ Tina: Who writes your songs?

Forever Silent: We are very open in that aspect. Frankie writes almost all the lyrics but he encourage us to participate in the writing process. Juan wrote "Forever won't last" and David wrote "In My Memories" so we all get involved.

HMTV DJ Tina: What do you express in your lyrical content?

Forever Silent: Well we talk about personal experiences like the death of a beloved person, emotions like anger, love, hope, sadness and how they affect us or things that we cannot change like mistakes in the past etc.

HMTV DJ Tina: What are your live performances like?

Forever Silent: Our live performances are full of enrgy. We always try to do our best, doesn't matter if is a small gig or an important event we always try to get the people involved in the show.

Do you have any pyro-technical lights, smoke pots, fireworks showcased with your live performances?

Well since James Hetfield has't return the stuff he borrowed from us (hehe) we just use the equipment available in the place we are playing.

What’s a typical day like in the recording studio for Forever Silent?

Well we take session of about 6 hours so we need to have three basic things: Potato Chips, Arizona Tea and Beer. We are there during the recording of each instrument and we try to get involved in the whole process. We have a good time everytime we are in the studio we really enjoy it.

What are you seeking in a record label or a distribution deal once your Demo album is released?

Well we seek for a serius label that is willing to support us and that is very hardworking.

HMTV DJ Tina: Any video production or tours planned for 2008?

Forever Silent: We don't have any videos planned right now but we would like to go on tour later this year but we are still talking about that.

HMTV DJ Tina: What’s the music scene like in Juarez Mexico?

Forever Silent: The music scene is growing a lot, there are a lot of good bands but there is no enough support for metal bands.

HMTV DJ Tina: What is your opinion of the music industry today?

Forever Silent: It's just a huge Business. The music scene this days is just about business, good marketing, money and crappy pop artists. The metal industry is growing a lot and we hope it gets the recognition it deserves.

HMTV DJ Tina: Before we wrap up our interview where can fans access your music and buy Forever Silent’s merchandise or song tracks?

Forever Silent: In our myspace page (http://www. myspace. com/rockforeversilent) you can download our songs for free and we will have merchandise soon. Also you can listen to our music in this radio stations www. radiopossesed. com www. mordormx. net www. esrock. com and www. atmosferarock. com

HMTV DJ Tina: Any last words?

Forever Silent: Well thanks a lot for this interview and we hope that people in Canada get to listen to our music and we hope they like it too and maybe sometime someone can book us a show there.

Thank you Forever Silent for allowing our eZine to interview your band.
