Hi Woe of Tyrants, Congratulation’s on the new release of your Album Kingdom of Might.
Chris, Hey beautiful!
Q. Can you tell us the highlights of Kingdom of Might the collection of songs how the lyrics take the listener on a journey of spiritual wisdom to express a respect for the force that can create everything we see, hear and digest?
A. The lyrics are meant solely to invoke curiosity in the listener. As the vocalist I've tried to maintain the line between preaching and just expressing opinion. My hope is that the ideas and visuals expressed through the words and sounds of this record will bring someone from a point of fear (which leads to separation and eventually hatred) to a point of wonder, thus bringing the audience to a point of trying to find peace in their own life.

Q. What motivates or inspires the band to write music in such a way to encourage people to consider their lives, consider anything and everything, as opposed to just remaining lethargic?
A: My motivation comes from being aware of how hard it is to be alive sometimes. I know that things are confusing, and I know that there are a lot of people out there who claim to have the answers to everything. I'm not here to claim that. The only way for someone to find peace is for them to find it on their own, and the only way to find it on your own is to be curious, and to take a second out of the busy, hectic days that most of us endure and just look around at how amazing life truly is.
Q. Who writes Woe of Tyrants lyrics do you have any spiritual influences for your song writing?
A: I could say this is all about Christianity, or all about this or that, but I'm not that type of guy. However I do know that truth does not fear investigation. That being said, I don't feel it too necessary to divulge too much unless someone is curious enough to talk one on one with me about it. There is a way for each person living on this Earth to find true peace, and it's different for every one of them. There are many routes one can take to get to the exact same answer. Everyone in our group has varying beliefs, but one that we all hold dear is that we love people, and we are tired of negativity being the main ideal being professed by bands. We're happy to be a wrench in the gears in that aspect.
Q. What is the bands hope or messages of finding something in Kingdom of Might songs that will improve people’s life rather than the metal message of destroying it?
A: Like I said, I really feel that if someone gets into these lyrics, the main thing that they'll take away is that there is hope out there. No matter who you are or what you've done, there are ways of improving your situation if you really want it to be improved.
Q. Do you have any videos planned from your song tracks for 2009?
A: We actually just finished recording our first video for the record, the song is called "Break the Fangs of the Wicked". It was produced by Siege Media, and we are anxiously awaiting the final result!
Q. Who helps record, mix and master all of Woe of Tyrants music production?
A: Joey Sturgis of The Foundation Studios (The Devil Wears Prada, Gwen Stacy, Brother Von Doom) did everything for this record. He was one of the easiest people we've ever worked with and would have no problem going back again. He has an incredible ear, and I think that really shines through when you listen to the record.
Q. Who is the superb Artist that did the cover for Kingdom of Might?
A: Colin Marks (I hope I spelled that right) did the entire booklet, we were very happy with his work as well!
Q. Can you give us an update on how your recent tour is going which bands are touring with Woe of Tyrants and has the band been successful in selling CD’s and merchandise on this tour?
A: Well we're actually at home right now, gearing up for our upcoming tour with Adversary, Destroy Destroy Destroy and Brother Von Doom. Then we have some dates with Psyopus and Burning the Masses as well. We've had the pleasure of touring with some amazing bands in the past, such as Kill Whitney Dead, Shai Hulud, Full Blown Chaos and The Demonstration to name a few. We look forward to getting back out there, we're definitely a touring band. We love being on the road and meeting as many people as we possibly can.

Q. Can fans expect to see video footage of this recent tour?

A: We're hoping to record some tour blogs on this next tour, so we'll keep you posted through the myspace as we get them uploaded!
Q. Will the band have a dot com main website coming soon or will they be using their MySpace page as their main website?
A: Myspace is serving us just fine for now, it does everything that we need it to do so unless we find a need for it we'll probably just stick with www.myspace.com/wot for awhile..
Q. If a new website is in the works will it be like a social website where Woe of Tyrant fans can interact with one another online?
A: I think that it would be cool to have some social interaction available on the site, our old .com had a message board that seemed to do pretty well. We're open to about anything, only time will tell!!
Q. Before we wrap up our interview do you have any shout outs to the Woe of Tyrant masses and friends?
A: Just to our great management, our ever loyal hometown fans in Chillicothe, and also all of the new friends we're making every day! Thank you very much for your support! Also to HMTV for the interest and the assist in helping us promote our new record! Thanks guys!!!
